Willowbrook Farm Grand Finale


Journey to Willowbrook Farm along the beautiful Nassaburgh Green Wheel cycle route, where delicious food and family-fun activities await!


This Green Festival finale is also part of the national 'Open Farm sunday' event. It is coordinated by LEAF Charity who aim to give everyone the chance to meet the farmers who grow their food and care for the countryside.

What is on?

Enjoy fresh, tasty local food at the Granary Café and free BBQ. Be daring and try the Willowbrook Giant hot-dog challenge.
 
Hop on a Willowbrook trailer ride at 11am, 1pm or 3pm to encounter the sights and sounds of Castor Hanglands National Nature Reserve!
 
Enter the mini-beast art competition by bringing a drawing or photo of your favourite min-beast. You may win a Bumblebee goody bag including a year’s membership to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust! Prize giving is at 3pm.
 
Discover life on Britain’s farms and learn about nature!
  • Find out where your food comes from on a real working farm
  • Learn what farmers do and how you can get involved in the countryside
  • Do a butterfly count in beautiful Swaddywell Pit Nature Reserve
  • Mini-beast safaris at 12pm and 2pm
  • Become a bee-detective and help us count bees for the national Beewatch Survey
  • Learn how you can help bees in your garden
  • Meet real animals

Join Newborough Rural Youth Charity for a fantastic welly wanging competition and tug of war challenge, as they raise money for Kidney Research!

  • Catch the 401 bus from Queensgate bay 9 at 10.15am and return service departs from Willowbrook at 2.48pm
