Event Overview
Join us for a bat filled evening in the Nene Wetlands!
Despite bat populations in the UK declining considerably over the past century, bats in the Nene Wetlands seem to be thriving and 4 different species are regularly recorded on the reserve.
This International Bat Night, we’ll be joined by Paul Howden-Leach from Wildlife Acoustics, manufacturers of the EchoMeter Touch, who will be bringing along a selection of bat detecting equipment for you to have a go with.
We will then head out onto the reserve with our bat detectors to look for and listen to bats before returning to the visitor centre for refreshments.
All participants will also receive a guide to helping bats in your garden.
