To improve resource efficiency and save money quickly, organisations will often opt for the installation of more efficient equipment. For example, upgrading from fluorescent to LED lighting. While installing more efficient equipment does present energy and financial savings, it only solves half of the problem. Without understanding how your organisation is using its resources through energy / environmental management, you are missing out on additional reductions and savings that could be realised without any extra investment.
