Event Overview
It’s a good time of year for dragonflies and wild flowers at the Dogsthorpe Star Pit NR.
There may also be an opportunity to visit ponds on the reserve floor, which support rare stoneworts.
A two hour guided walk round this important brownfield reserve with the warden, taking in areas of grassland, scrub and wetland.
The paths are mainly formed from brick chippings and undulate with some moderately steep slopes.
Please wear stout shoes or boots.
Park in Hodney Road – Map Ref. TF215 029 and walk across to the reserve entrance to meet.
Please do not park in White Post Road as farmers may need access.
