The Green Backyard and Red 7 Productions bring you this Peterborough screening of Ai Weiwei‘s stunning documentary on the global refugee crisis.
“Human Flow“, an epic film journey led by the internationally renowned artist Ai Weiwei, gives a powerful visual expression to this massive human migration.
The documentary elucidates both the staggering scale of the refugee crisis and its profoundly personal human impact.
Captured over the course of an eventful year in 23 countries, the film follows a chain of urgent human stories that stretches across the globe in countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, France, Greece, Germany, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, and Turkey.
Entry = £8 on the door.
All profits will go to Help Refugees, a grassroots charity set up in 2015 in response to the global crisis who now run more than 80 projects in Europe and the Middle East – https://helprefugees.org/
We will also be joined in a post-film discussion by Ed and Rachel Walker, who have both worked for many years in international aid and development. Rachel has trained volunteers working in the Idomeni refugee camp, and Ed is now founder and CEO of Hope into Action, a Peterborough based national charity who work to provide homes for the most vulnerable in society – http://hopeintoaction.org.uk/
