Event Overview
Thursday 5th December 2019 7.30pm – 9.30pm
‘We have to change how we eat and grow food to fight climate change’…thus spake the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change…but how does that translate to what is happening here in the UK and how we can feed ourselves in a way that supports our agricultural industry, saves our planet and meets our tastes.
Tom Martin, aka @FarmerTom, Chair of the East of England Farming Conference and of the NFU Peterborough and Anthony Davison, local food proponent and founder of BigBarn CIC will cover the issues of food supply chain waste and how it can be reduced, how to eat ‘climate friendly’ and some of the UK’s environmentally sound farming techniques.
