On 11th October, the PECT Team will be putting on their running shoes and promoting all things green while taking part in the 5k Anna's Hope Fun Run around the centre of Peterborough. PECT would like to thank the craft collective Handmade in Peterborough for their fantastic support in making foliage-covered headbands for the team to run in and raise awareness of their environmental projects.
As an independent charity with more than 21 years’ experience working within the city, PECT delivers ground-breaking and innovative projects of local, regional and national significance, enabling change for a sustainable future.
“PECT works with a multitude of communities, schools, businesses, local authorities and voluntary organisations to deliver projects that make a real difference,” explains the charity’s CEO Carly Leonard. “Any funds raised go towards supporting vitally important projects, such as Forest for Peterborough, which aims to plant more than 180,000 trees across the city by 2030.”
