Are you a resident in Peterborough, Fenland, or South Kesteven and concerned about energy? Why not get involved with PECT as part of Big Energy Savings Week?
Big Energy Saving Week (BESW) starts on Monday the 21st January 2019 and is a national campaign run by Citizen’s Advice to help people cut their energy bills. You can get help on financial energy support you might be entitled to, or how to save money on your energy bills. We can also provide advice on how to switching energy supplier or tariff, accessing discounts or grants, and making homes more energy efficient.
We can also show you how to use the Citizens Advice or Green Energy Switch comparison tools to see if you can save money by switching energy tariff or supplier.
Our Project Officer Emma explains why it is important to support BESW: ‘With almost 2.4 million households in England struggling to pay their energy bills, it is vital to debunk some of the key energy myths and to help people save hundreds of pounds through switching energy suppliers or tariffs and making small behavioural changes’.
PECT will be holding events in Peterborough, March, Bourne and Wisbech during this week. Follow @sustainble_pect on social media to find out where we will be! You can also share what you’re doing for Big Energy Saving Week by using #BESW19.
