Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

Community & Education

Ensuring every child has access to activities over the holidays

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides free holiday club spots for children who receive income-based free school meals during Easter, Summer, and Christmas holidays.

In collaboration with the programme and Healthy Schools Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we’ve developed a series of free resources that families or holiday providers can use, from fun recipes to try to creating art using scraps found around the house.

“My son engaged well with the food cooking at home, it was a pleasure watching him grow in confidence. He is making tea tonight, using the recipe card!”

“My son was so so happy there and thank you to the funders for this opportunity for my son as he is very isolated and can get lonely. Thank you so much!”

“The HAF resources provided by PECT look really good and we will definitely use these and look forward to getting the 4 new sets you are working on.”

“These ad hoc sessions for different activities are great and we learn so much from them and how to keep sessions fresh, new and exciting. I look forward to anymore sessions that PECT and HAF may have to offer.”
